Each step of the process is important, so divide the time to deadline into three roughly equal parts. Avoid the temptation to over research and under write by not beginning to write until close to the deadline. Start early, don’t cram the whole process into a couple of days; you will achieve better results if you do a small amount every day over two weeks.

These tips help you to write an essay at top-level:

1. Research: Begin by researching your topic. Utilize the internet, the academic databases, and the library. Take notes and try to understand the words of great thinkers.

2. Analysis:
Start analyzing the arguments of the gathered information. Clearly define the claims, write out the reasons, the evidence. Look for weaknesses of logic and also strengths.

3. Brainstorming: Ask yourself a dozen questions and answer them. For example, take walks and think and think until you come up with original insights to write about.

4. Thesis: Your thesis is your main point. Try to write your idea in one really good sentence. Remember, it’s practically impossible to write a good essay without a clear thesis.

5. Outline: Use one-line sentences to describe paragraphs, and bullet points to describe what each paragraph will contain. Don’t be afraid, play with essay’s structure to see how it looks.

6. Introduction: The introduction should grab the reader’s attention, set up the issue, and lead in to your thesis. Note: The title and first paragraph are probably the most important elements in your essay.

7. Paragraphs: Each individual paragraph should be focused on a single idea that supports your thesis. Begin paragraphs with topic sentences, support assertions with evidence, and expound your ideas in the clearest, most sensible way you can.

8. Conclusion: Summarize the main ideas, demonstrate how you have proven your thesis, finish with an interesting or thought-provoking, but relevant, comment.

9. Language:
Don’t forget to polish your language by correcting grammar, making sentences flow, adjusting the emphasis and formality and making other intuitive edits. Proofread until it reads just how you want it to sound.

10. Final copy: Add any footnotes or bibliography if required. Present a clean, neat copy.
