For kids who are constantly bullied in school, it is hard to imagine a life not filled with anxiety or fear of getting physically or emotionally abused, but the truth is, even if it looks like a hopeless situation, things tend to get better with time. Lots of celebrities and people, whom we all admire, have had similar experiences and know exactly what it is like to be the target of bullies. We hope that their stories will offer some encouragement and inspiration to all those children who suffer from bullying in school or elsewhere.

Keep on reading to find out how these famous and successful people managed to survive this terrible experience and moved on to use it to fuel their success.

1. Bill Clinton

When he attended a junior high school, Bill Clinton was constantly taunted for his bad taste in clothes and his extra weight. Soon he learned to fight back and that was the most important lesson that helped him become stronger and more confident. Later on he became a talented and well-known saxophone player and then he decided to dedicate his life to serving the American people!

2. Prince Harry

Most people imagine that the life of princes and princesses is filled with privileges and pleasantries but the truth is royals get bullied too! The British prince had a fair share of taunting as a child because of his red hair. Instead of calling him “Your Royal Highness”, Harry was frequently addressed as “Hey, Ginger!” However, having such a unique distinctive feature has not prevented him from succeeding, thus, the young prince is currently a captain in the Army Air Corps and a patron of several charity organizations worldwide!

3. Emma Watson

We all know and love Emma Watson, but apparently, her status of a talented and popular actress was not enough to save her from bullying. Emma is believed to have dropped out of Brown University because she was mocked in classes for the role of a pretty know-it-all Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. Well, it is hardly a surprise that Emma found it impossible to answer teachers’ questions with her fellow students constantly chiming in “Three points for Gryffindor!”

4. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera was bullied in school from kids who did not understand her passion for music. Aguilera has been in the limelight since she was six, performing solo shows at night, while her classmates were concerned about winning their next basketball game and keeping up with homework.

5. Sandra Bullock

Today, we all admire Sandra Bullock for her impeccable style, let alone her acting talent, but back in her youth Sandra’s style was not so popular. In fact, that made her a target of bullying. Moreover, Sandra had a lisp, which only added more oil to the fire. But Sandra managed to make it through with the help of her mother who gave her the confidence she needed and became one of the most popular and highest-paid Hollywood actresses.

6. Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is loved for his acting talent and his looks, but when he was growing up, Tom was taunted all the time. His family had to move cities quite often because Tom’s father couldn’t find a source of work to support his family. The boy changed many schools and wherever he went, Tom was always bullied by his classmates. In his own words, he was “always the new kid with the wrong shoes, the wrong clothes and the wrong accent”.

7. Kate Middleton

Who would ever have guessed that the future queen of England was targeted by bullies? Even though today Kate is a duchess and the mother of the next heir of the British throne, in the past she had a hard time getting along with her classmates at a boarding school.

If you believe that your kid has become a bullying victim and is not coping well with the problem, try showing this list to him to prove that things can eventually turn very well!
